Since he was 15, Jason Jaramillo was already planting the first coffee trees on his father’s farm.
Today at 25 years of age, he lives with his wife Aceneth and their 2 children in the Farm Miraflores, which is located at 1615 meters above the mountains of the municipality of Acevedo in the department of Huila in Colombia.
He feels proud to be a coffee farmer just like his parents. Jason says that in the search for new alternatives that would allow him to grow a high-quality coffee but at the same time resistant to rust, he found the Tabi variety, and devoted himself to grow this variety with very good results.
Today he also grows trees of Caturra variety.
For all the care with his crops, he has managed to develop a cup full of sweet flavors with a rich fragrance of red fruits and sugar cane aromas, citric acidity with lime and lemon notes.
Jason has been selected within his community to guide groups of children in the conservation of natural resources, fauna and flora. he is definitely a farmer committed not only to move forward their lands but to collaborate with the region.
